“I knew very early on that I wanted to become pastor. I always felt very comfortable in Church, and realized that I had a gift of caring for people. Listening to others became one of my favorite activities, and I welcomed opportunities to visit others and show God's love and care for them. This led me to enroll in the pre-seminary program at Concordia College in Ann Arbor Michigan. There I was able to grow deeper in my faith through studying the Bible, attending chapel services, and sharing evening devotions with fellow students. I graduated from Concordia with a B.A. in Biblical Languages in 1997, and continued on to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
In seminary I continued to develop my faith through further study of the Bible and doctrines of our church, as well as engaged in hands-on field work in several ministries. Upon graduation with a Masters of Divinity, I chose to participate in a one year clinical pastoral education residency at a retirement center in St. Louis, where I was able to further sharpen my ministry skills with hands-on training while visiting residents and learning how to most effectively reach God's people.
In June of 2002 God led me to joyfully accept a call into the ministry, to Peace Lutheran Church of North Tustin, CA, where I served for over 17 years. During this time I experienced the birth of three daughters—Anna in 2006, Katie in 2008, and Lizzie in 2010.
During my long tenure at Peace I gained much experience through working with a loving and supportive congregation and strove to show God's love through my example and leadership.
In August 2019 I accepted a call to Zion in Blythe, and was officially Installed in February 2020. I praise the Lord that he has guided and directed me to this wonderful and supportive family of God. I look forward to many more years of growing in our knowledge and love of God and our love for each other as we serve Him together. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen."
